Well, here it is!

I am so excited about finishing this preservation plan. I put a lot of thought into it and tried to incorporate concerns that the mayor and the Prince George’s County Historic Preservation Commission had. They were all extremely helpful to me. Public outreach, maintenance, citizen involvement, economic development, creating a framework to go forward…These were some of the issues I had to address.

I learned so much while working on this project. About my town, about how historic preservation agencies work in my state, about the needs of a community preservation-wise. It’s one thing to learn about preservation, but another to apply that knowledge in the real world.

We’ll see what happens next.
